MA Safety Day

ATESSA – Promoting safety from the classroom. This was the focus of MA s.r.l.'s Safety Day on Friday 19 September 2025. The event which brought together over 200 employees, institutions and strategic partner companies in the newly refurbished MA2 plant in Atessa. The aim was to promote safety as a value, as well as a culture of health, safety and the environment (HSE).

The day's protagonists were 7th grade students from the Borrelli Institute in Archi, who read moving and heartfelt essays on the topic of ‘What it means to live safely’, reminding us that a culture of prevention must be established from an early age.

The day also included were also practical elements to the day, such as speeches by the Workers' Safety Representatives (RLS) of the Atessa 1, Atessa 2 and Cassino plants, a presentation by a Local Health Authority (ASL) inspector on local accidents and a contribution from the company physician on alcohol and work. An enriching exchange with external stakeholders was also facilitated by HSE managers of Trigano Van Spa and Honda Italia Spa. A noteworthy speech by the Confindustria President for the Environment linked safety and sustainability.

This was followed by the official launch of the ‘Patente a punti’ (‘Points-Based Driving Licence’) pilot project, which is designed to reward good behaviour. The year's most virtuous forklift driver was celebrated amid applause — a concrete example of daily vigilance.

The grand finale was the awards ceremony for the MA Italia Video Clip Safety Contest, which was won by the Chivasso plant in recognition of the creativity and effectiveness of their message.

This day confirmed that safety is a shared value for MA and CLN Group, not just an obligation. It is essential that we pass this value on to future generations.
